The second in my series of Youtube sewing tutorials filmed with Cico is all about understitching.
An easy, effective technique that is often overlooked by beginner sewists. I show you exactly how to understitch, where to do it and what it actually does to your garment.
This is definitely one of those techniques that is best shown in a video as you can easily see the improvement it brings to your garment.

Lovely video! One question: why do you stitch from underneath? I do always understitch facings, but tend to do it from the top. Does it make a difference? Thanks!

Doesn’t make a difference but I find it easier for beginners to do it from the wrong side to make sure the seam allowance doesn’t move!
